A good friend of mine

A good friend of mine is Isidora. I met her when we were in kindergarten and we were like 5-6 years old. It’s hard for me to remember the very first day I met her, but I do know we’ve been friends ever since. We studied in the same school and in the same classes for 11 years, and then in 3ro medio, we split up. She went to the Humanist elective and I, to the Math elective.

I remember being in school and singing with her some Katy Perry songs out loud when we were 12-13 years old. Or when we were younger, playing in the dirt with some tree leaves and water.

I like her ‘cause we’ve always liked the same things (the same stupid things, I may say), we both share the love for movies and series, for books, for some music, and most importantly, art.

Since we finished school, we haven’t seen each other that much, but when we do, we do the simplest things. We hang out to watch a movie, to walk, or go to expositions, or just being in any of our homes and lay in the couch and talk and since we like similar things, we like to go to these Chinese Malls or to Patronato, in search of cute or weird things.

I enjoy being with her, because we can do nothing and still have fun. We always have something to talk about, and even if we haven’t seen each other in months, nothing changes.

She’s a great cooker and artist. At first she wanted to study gastronomy, but then decided for Art. Since, as she says, cooking can be more as hobby than a career, but maybe Art will be more difficult, since it’s difficult just being an artist out there in the world, but I’m a 100% sure, she made the right choice. She makes these paints of Kois and they are beautiful.

Right now she’s preparing the PSU and working at the same time, for the reason that she didn’t prepare last year. She will be working all next year, and then hopefully, in 2019 she will be studying Art in U. de Chile, as she wants to.

Fiestas Patrias

I’ve always been eager for Fiestas Patrias, mainly because I get to rest (which for me is just laying on my bed not thinking of all the things I have to do) and sleep a lot. And also because everyone is extremely happy during this time (maybe due to the alcohol haha) and that makes me happy too. This year, I spent it more with my family. We went over my grandma and ate everything we could, specially ‘’empanadas’’ that she always makes, they are no doubt the best I’ve ever eaten. We went to the trustworthy Fonda in Parque O’Higgins, which is always good and well organized, so you can’t get lost and there’s about everything there, from food to drinks to handmade crafts. The only problem is that it was overcrowded (like always), but besides that it was great I also went to another Fonda near where I live in Maipú, and honestly It was so boring and I was a little bit tired too, and I only wanted to go home. To make it even worse, there was way, way too many people there, you c...

DOGS

Dogs have always been called the men best friend, and it couldn't be more right, but for me, they are so much more than that. And as a dog owner (and lover) myself, I have experienced my whole life what is like to have a dog by your side and to love them deeply. So in this post, I'll write about dogs that I've owned. My very first dog was ''Tunga'', he was a crossbreed (of breeds I don't know) and he was quite small, but man, he was a fighter. He used to live more in the streets than in our home, but he always returned at night. I was too little when he passed away, but I know my family suffered a lot with his death, because he was just a great dog. There were another dogs in between, I believe so, (not sure if before or after the one I'm about to tell you), but they, for reasons I'm unaware of, they didn't live too long in our home.  Then came ''Tomy'', which we loved, but caused a lot of problems. He wa...

IT

Last weekend I went to see ‘’It’’ to the cinema in Costanera Center with some friends. To start, it was a chaos to be able to meet up all the six of us. We set an hour to gather in the subway, we said ‘’Let’s meet up there at 11:00-11:30’’, and so we did. Some arrived there at 11:00 and others nearly 12:00, so some of us had to wait almost an hour there! And the movie was at 12:00!! And obviously, there was still one of us who hadn’t got there yet, and worst, he didn’t have a chip on his phone, so he couldn’t receive or make calls and we weren’t able to contact him. By the time it was already 12:00, but luckily there was another cinema show at 12:40, but we still had to hurry, because we needed to buy the tickets and some food. So we were there, at 12:25 with no tickets and no food and only 5 of us. We finally decided to just go to the cinema, we thought that maybe the one who hadn’t arrived yet was in his way, or worse, in his home peacefully sleeping. We got there, and sudde...
